Hello, I’m Charmayne. Thanks so much for perusing my little slice of the web.

I am an established pitch-to-press creative services professional with a broad background in branding, marketing, management and graphic design (print and online). Having been blessed with the perfect balance between artsy and analytical, I have thrived in myriad capacities within my field, from traffic coordinator to creative director, and pretty much everything in between.


As a consultant, I periodically act as the de facto Creative Director for a broad range of clientele, to include Christopher Lowell, NASCAR Angels, World Baseball Classic and Fox Television. Please click here to see more of my freelance experience.

In-house, I have headed teams of designers, copy writers, and website developers for a number of organizations such as Cities West Publishing (publisher of Phoenix magazine), Variety, Inc. (the entertainment trade), Clegg Industries (manufacturer of interactive products), and (a Bain & Co. inspired “dotcom” for the Jo-Ann store brand), to name a few.

From 2003 through 2006, I served as Art Director for Phoenix magazine, the city’s premier publication, where I was accountable for designing and producing 200+ pages per month. I also supervised an associate Art Director and a rotation of photographers, coordinated and directed photo shoots, oversaw pre-production and press checks, and presided over marketing materials. Additionally, my team and I redesigned the decades-old publication, resulting in a marked increase in newsstand, subscriber, and advertising sales, as well as 10 excellence-in-design awards issued by the prestigious Arizona Press Club.

At, I led a team of designers and web developers as we built and maintained an original e-commerce site during the rise of the dotcom era, which required strategically educating consumers and driving traffic to this relatively new medium. As such, I was also tasked with designing print campaigns (direct mail, in-store POS, consumer ads etc.) in addition to online campaigns (banner ads, cross promotions, e-newsletters etc.).

As the Director of Creative Services for Clegg Industries, a leader in voice, light and sound innovation for the promotional and advertising industries, I spearheaded a team of five graphic artists, creating interactive greeting cards (yes, the ones at Hallmark that ‘sing’ Happy Birthday), advertising pieces, point of purchase standees, and promotional products. At this fast paced B2B, we procured business through the use of PowerPoint presentations and hand-crafted mockups, and drove sales with targeted catalogs and annual trade shows.

I am excited to have moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, with my husband, Bill, a career Airman and USAT triathlete, and our two rambunctious and very large labs, Ranger and Ryder. In my spare time, you’ll find me sketching, blogging, practicing yoga, and enjoying the outdoors with my 3 boys.
